Risk management has been maturing, and we expect that risk identification is well advanced, however experience tells us that organisation’s and risk management practitioners are still struggling with risk identification. Often risks identified are either of such a high level that the risk management process loses its gravitas or of such a low level that they are stated as control failures.

Identifying risks is the foundation of any risk management programme, if you don’t get this right it will affect the entire risk management process. This course offers tried and tested techniques and tools to assist delegates to gain knowledge on business tools i.e. SWOT, PESTLE, 5M’s, value chain etc, make the link to understanding organizational objectives, the commercial aspects of “business” - why we exist.

Steven Abrahams is a risk specialist, with over 14 years’ experience in delivering risk management solutions and services. Steven is familiar with all aspects of risk management processes including Commercial, Technical, Environmental, Project Management, Strategic, Interfacing, Engineering, Construction and Operational readiness, as well as safety risk management processes. He has facilitated numerous risk assessments from project to strategy. His range of experience extends from developing methodologies for organisational, project and safety risk management systems, project and program risk management to technical risk management
