Public Sector Mentorship Programme - Mentee
Share |

TAKE A BOLD CAREER STEP IN 2018 BY ENROLLING FOR THE NATIONAL TREASURY MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INSTITUTE OF RISK MANAGEMENT SOUTH AFRICA (IRMSA).

Mentee Application

IRMSA and The National Treasury will be launching a mentorship programme to primarily identify and nurture the potential of a person. The mentorship programme is envisaged to link seasoned risk professionals with a mentee either currently registered to sit the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) professional board examination or is wanting to attain professionalisation.

Mentoring is an indefinite, relationship based activity with several specific but wide ranging goals and may not have to be a formal process. The agenda is open and continues to evolve over the longer term. The objective will therefore seek to build wisdom – the ability to apply skills, knowledge and experience to new situations and processes. Further, the objective of the mentor will be to act as an ‘accountability partner’ who works in their mentee’s best interests. It is envisaged that he or she will bring a new approach to either a specific skill or an entire career.

The success of the programme will be dependent on clearly defined objectives, an agreed plan of action and act as a replacement for conventional training. Therefore, the mentee will be required to be committed to the programme.

  • Do you want to be mentored by a seasoned professional?
  • Do you want to catapult your career on an upward trajectory as a risk professional?
  • Will you be committed to the programme for at least six (6) months?

Qualifying Criteria:

  • Must be an IRMSA member
  • Must either be a CRM Prac or have intentions of obtaining the CRM Prac designation
  • Agree to commit to the programme for at least six (6) months;
  • Must be employed in any sphere of government

Requirements:

  •  A comprehensive CV
  • Application detailing what you hope to achieve from this opportunity should you be selected.
  • Application must be received by 9 March 2018.
