Ask yourself the following important questions before applying:

  • Do I have the relevant qualification or requisite years of experience to get the CRM Prac Designation?

1.  All applicants are required to apply online via the link: Board Exam Application Form

2.  Login with your username and password. Should you require log in details, please contact requesting login details.

3.  Criteria to register for CRM Prac Board Exam: All applicants are required to be Associate members in order to register for the CRM Prac Board Exam.


1. No Qualification + 10 years risk experience

2. Any Qualification + 5 years risk experience

3. Risk Qualification + 3 years risk experience

4. Organisational Risk Practitioner Qualification + 3 years risk experience

1.  Once you have successfully completed the online application, you will immediately receive a non-refundable Application Fee invoice for R550 ex VAT. Please forward proof of application fee payment to Applications will only be processed once proof of payment has been received.

2.   CRM Prac Board Exam Registration Application Deadline: Friday, 29 June 2018(Note that applications will be processed only once proof of payment has been received.) Should IRMSA not receive your proof of payment within 7 days after the closing date, kindly consider your application declined.

3.  IRMSA will communicate with all applicants by Wednesday, 12 July 2018 confirming or declining the status of their application. Eligible candidates will immediately receive a Board Exam invoice for R4 050 ex VAT which will need to be paid before Wednesday, 31 July 2018.

4.  Eligible candidates will receive a confirmation letter, a candidate guide, the board exam rules, exemplar questions, access to study material portal, access to the preparation workshop audio, work experience logbook and other pertinent information.

5.  To assist you in preparing for the exam, IRMSA will be hosting a content workshop which will be held at the IRMSA Offices on the " 30 October 2018" at a cost of R1850 ex VAT. This is not obligatory, but is encouraged.

You are encouraged to firstly, go through the work experience logbook to determine if you will be able to acquire, or have acquired exposure or requisite experience in the areas specified. Although you will have 2 years to complete the work experience logbook after the exam, IRMSA has observed that it’s more beneficial to acquire at least 70% of the experience required prior to attempting the board exam.
